The number of passengers using Ube City Bus routes is declining due to factors such as a declining population and the advancement of motorization.
Additionally, in the field of education, there is an increasing need to secure transportation for children due to the appropriate allocation of elementary and junior high schools and the expansion of club activities into local areas. Therefore, in collaboration with Funaki Railway Co., Ltd., we will make bus fares free for elementary and junior high school students and promote the widespread use of buses for commuting to school, club activities, and to and from cram schools.
Through this initiative, we hope to expand opportunities for bus use from elementary and junior high school age, thereby increasing bus users in the future and reducing the burden of raising children.

(1) Elementary and junior high school students attending schools in Ube City
(2) Elementary and junior high school students who have a resident registration in Ube City and attend school outside the city

Demand buses operate in the Ono, Futamatase, Yoshibe and Mankura districts.
How to use
When getting off, present your free bus pass for elementary and junior high school students to the driver to receive free fare.
Expiration date
By 3/31 of the elementary and junior high school graduation year
Distribution method
Regarding target person (1)
Elementary and junior high school students attending schools in Ube City will receive the masks through their schools.
Regarding target person (2)
If you are an elementary or junior high school student registered as a resident in Ube City and attend a school outside the city, please contact the Transportation Policy Division.
